Empower Her Fund II is the next bold chapter in a growing movement to reshape who gets funded—and what gets built.Our mission is clear: catalyze capital for women-led ventures solving real problems, unlocking new markets, and delivering lasting impact. We believe some of the most promising returns—financial and social—come from backing overlooked founders with deep insight and grit.In 2023, Lily Kanter and Beth Stelluto launched the Empower Her Founders Fund as a proof of concept as a group on the Cata Cap platform. With 42 investors and more than 30 voting members (contributing more than $10,000), we backed seven high-social or environmental impact, women-led companies across health, fintech, climate, and consumer innovation. That early portfolio is already showing traction and proved the demand for a values-aligned investor community with real capital to deploy.Fund II is what’s next.This second fund expands our ambition—a broader network of leaders bringing new members to create a larger community of investors and more capital – all to deliver larger checks, deeper founder support, and a more diversified portfolio. We will continue to be laser-focused on women-led social and environmental impact ventures at early, catalytic stages. It’s a direct response to an urgent truth: only ~2% of angel and venture dollars go to women-led startups. We’re here to change that—with intentional capital and a growing coalition.Our aim is to be patient capital giving founders the breathing room they need to scale these important companies focused on making the world better. As with many early-stage companies, the investment horizon can be long – 10 years or more. First economically viable Direct Air Capture (DAC) products that remove CO₂ from the atmosphere to make a measurable impact when scaled. CO₂ is captured from air and stored permanently underground to manage atmospheric resources away from greenhouse effects. Captured CO₂ is also used in products like beverages and clean e-fuels which can strengthen global energy supply chains.Low Risk Business Model of an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), similar to how solar panel manufacturers don't build and manage solar farms, we only design and manufacture the carbon capture technology, and our partners deploy and manage the DAC farms. Thanks to six years of R&D, we are now a revenue generating business: $1.7M this year is booked and being delivered.Ready to Ship Products in two form factors which are the Kelvin Tower (350 tonnes of CO₂/year) and the Kelvin POD (100 ton/year unit) that will be made by contract manufacturers. In 2026, our Kelvin POD is being deployed at a brewery in Washington state paid for by the state, and we are delivering the first commercial Kelvin Tower to Deep Sky in Alberta, Canada paid for by the developer Deep Sky — where CO₂ will be permanently sequestered.Strong backers have invested $3.5M into DACLab's seed round to date, including Jane Woodward (Stanford Climate Fund, Fervo board) and Dave Roux (Silver Lake co-founder) and Peter Relan (first investor in Discord). its electric is the worlds first public curbside EV charging network powered by buildings. We install Level 2 chargers on urban curbsides that draw electricity from adjacent building spare electrical capacity — bypassing the costly and time-consuming grid interconnection and upgrades required by conventional charging infrastructure. Better yet? We revenue share with every building we connect to.its electric’s core mission is to unlock EV access for urban drivers that have no private driveway or garage, resolving a critical infrastructure gap.Impact:Nearly half of U.S. households have no private driveway or garage. These drivers — disproportionately renters, lower-income, and from disadvantaged communities (that often are mass transit deserts) are forced to rely on their personal vehicle for daily transportation and as they cannot charge at home are effectively locked out of EV ownership. its electric deployments are deliberately targeted at multifamily, high-density neighborhoods with high charging gaps, including Justice40-designated communities. In LA, this has meant prioritizing Koreatown and South LA to serve rideshare and delivery drivers who have the highest VMT and therefore the greatest GHG reduction potential per converted vehicle.We are raising our Seed II enabling the runway to unlock our first $10m in revenue via deployment within 9 awarded U.S. cites.
