About Climate Technology Australia
Climate Salad is Australia’s leading climate tech network, supporting hundreds of startups building solutions across energy, carbon, circular economy, food systems, and more. They’re focused on driving real, scalable impact by unlocking capital and backing purpose-driven founders.
The Opportunity is to invest in Climate Salad to co-invest into promising early-stage Australian climate tech companies. They don’t lead deals—they follow alongside experienced angels, micro-funds, and VCs, offering investors the ability to back high-impact startups with relatively small cheques. They’re aiming to make 20–30 investments over the next 18 months, with individual participations between $10K and $50K. So far, they’ve made six investments and have three currently open and available for new capital.
How It Works
All deals are sourced and vetted through Climate Salad and their trusted partners. They are typically run through the Aussie Angels investment platform (https://www.aussieangels.com/) which manages placement and communication. Each syndicate is led by experienced operators or investors, so diligence and governance are managed professionally. Their role is to make it easy for values-aligned backers to plug in and deploy capital without the heavy lift of managing each deal. The process is managed by Mick Liubinskas with 15 years experience of investing in early stage technology. The key syndicates are https://www.electrifi.ventures/ and https://m8.ventures/.
