About Bay Bridge Ventures
We are pleased to share an opportunity to invest alongside the Bay Bridge Ventures Climate Fund in GlacierGrid, an intelligent refrigeration, HVAC and distributed energy platform, through a Bay Bridge Ventures Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV).
We believe GlacierGrid represents a particularly compelling opportunity at the intersection of AI, commercial building infrastructure and distributed energy. The company enters customers through an immediate, measurable ROI proposition - refrigeration monitoring, food safety, predictive maintenance and energy savings - and is building on that installed infrastructure to offer increasingly valuable software, automation and energy-management capabilities.
GlacierGrid Overview
GlacierGrid has developed an integrated hardware and software platform that helps commercial customers reduce food waste, lower maintenance costs, automate operations and decrease energy consumption across refrigeration and HVAC assets.
The company has demonstrated meaningful commercial traction. ARR grew from approximately $500K in 2021 to $4.5M in 2025, representing approximately 74% annualized growth, and its technology is deployed across thousands of locations nationwide. Customers include McDonald's, Taco Bell, 7-Eleven, Domino's, Pizza Hut, Burger King, Dunkin' franchisees, UNFI and Delta Air Lines. GlacierGrid also has an active enterprise pilot pipeline representing more than 3,200 potential rollout locations and approximately $5.8M of potential incremental ARR.
What particularly excites us is the opportunity beyond monitoring. Once GlacierGrid's sensing infrastructure is installed, the company can layer increasingly valuable software onto the same customer footprint - from predictive maintenance and AI-enabled operational intelligence to automated controls, energy optimization, demand response and load shifting.
Commercial refrigeration and HVAC also represent significant distributed electrical loads that remain largely disconnected from modern energy-management systems. As electricity demand rises and grid flexibility becomes increasingly valuable, we believe GlacierGrid has the potential to evolve into an intelligent software layer coordinating distributed energy assets across commercial facilities.
The SPV Opportunity
Bay Bridge Ventures has secured the remaining allocation available in GlacierGrid's Series A-3 financing and is making a portion available through this SPV.
Importantly, BBV negotiated investment economics that are not being offered to other investors in the Series A-3 round, in exchange for bringing strategically valuable investors and relationships to the company.
