    TICC builds native-led financial infrastructure

    Our Why

Turtle Island Community Capital (TICC) was created to address a persistent regional gap. Native communities have strong entrepreneurs, viable projects, and clear community priorities, but few financial institutions are designed around their realities. Our approach combines flexible capital with character-based and impact-informed underwriting, trusted community relationships, and tailored technical assistance. We consider conventional financial information alongside leadership capacity, contracts and revenue opportunities, community accountability, cultural alignment, and the potential to build lasting local wealth.

Recoveries from these offerings will allow capital to be recycled into future investments, extending the impact of each contribution across multiple businesses and communities. Donor-investors will help build durable Native-led financial infrastructure while advancing economic sovereignty, climate resilience, food and energy security, and reasons for living rooted in arts, culture, and belonging.

By participating, donor-investors are helping move capital in ways that repair rather than extract, while demonstrating what becomes possible when investment is accountable to people, place, and future generations.
